A Dream Meets a Setback

V.H. arrived in the UK from Hong Kong with a clear and powerful ambition. As a professional athlete, her own experiences with injury had ignited a deep passion to become a physiotherapist. She set her sights on the UK’s top physiotherapy schools, applying to competitive programmes at Southampton, Liverpool, KCL, Brighton, and MMU. However, after failing interviews at Southampton and KCL without the specialist preparation her school couldn’t provide, she was left feeling stressed and worried. With her dream on the line, she turned to Reagent Academy UK for expert help.

Mastering the Interview

We immediately arranged intensive, one-to-one interview coaching, tailored specifically to the formats used by Liverpool and Brighton. Our tutors, experienced in healthcare admissions, worked with V.H. on her communication skills, ethical reasoning, and ability to articulate her passion. The targeted preparation paid off spectacularly; V.H. noted that over two-thirds of the questions she faced in her real interviews had already been covered in her lessons. She performed with confidence and was delighted to receive conditional offers from both universities.

Conquering the Final Hurdle

Just as her dream was within reach, another obstacle appeared. V.H. narrowly missed the IELTS requirement for her offer (Overall 7.0, with no component below 6.5) on her first attempt. Feeling desperate, she once again entrusted her preparation to Reagent. We designed a focused lesson plan to sharpen her Writing and Reading skills. Using our exclusive notes, targeted exercises, and detailed personalised feedback, our tutors analysed her weaknesses and systematically turned them into strengths. The results were phenomenal. In just a short period, V.H. achieved an overall band score of 8.0, including a perfect Band 9.0 in Reading.

Having met all the conditions of her offer, V.H. is now successfully enrolled at the University of Liverpool, well on her way to becoming the passionate physiotherapist she was always meant to be. Her story is a testament to how our expert, tailored support can help students overcome every obstacle on their path to a top university.
